Romania and the Republic of Moldova have concluded a historic agreement for energy interconnection
 
                      A significant step towards energy security and European integration
Sebastian Burduja, Romania's Minister of Energy, had a crucial meeting in Chisinau with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean. The event took place after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on the implementation of projects necessary for the interconnection of the natural gas and electricity networks.
This strategic agreement  commits the two governments to accelerate the completion of projects for the interconnection of the national gas and electricity transmission networks. The objective is to ensure Moldova's energy security and integration into the European energy market.
